The Dupont Family is a intergalactic crime syndicate based on earth, that engages in extortion, drug trade and illegal arms trade. Formed in 1501 by ex-soldier and mob enforcer, it exists mostly out of ex-special forces or military members. Making it one of the best armed and trained crime syndicates on Earth, and it quickly asserted dominance on the planet after a few bloody mob wars. Triving on the earth's rather poor state and corrupt officals.
Pierre-René Dupont the current leader rules the crime syndicate like an old school mafia family don, and as fear tactic as well as way of hiding identity always wears a military balaclava, gaining him the moniker 'masked don'. The family is widely known on earth and despite Pierre's good intentions the syndicate is feared due to the cruel and unforgiving nature of some of it's members, who when provoked act like military death squads.
As of 1503 the dupont family began providing arms for the Galactic Rebellion not only increasing their profits but also increasing their influence on a galactic level.
